Welcome Adventurer to the ZORK 2D Project page.

 

My name is Lord Dimwit Flathead The Excessive and I am the last Emperor of the (sadly) former Great Underground Empire (GUE in short). I was born in 723 GUE and died the 14 Mumberbur 789 GUE because of the Curse of Megaboz (may he be cursed too until his thousand generation!).

 

But this doesn't prevent me to be delighted to be your PR for the ZORK 2D Project today. You will find here all you wish to know about this great adventure.

 

So, here we are.

 

What is the ZORK 2D Project? Well, ZORK I was published back to 1977 (read its story here) by four Infocom MIT Engineers, Dave Lebling, Marc Blank, Bruce Daniels and Tim Anderson (may they be blessed until their thousand generation!), I decided it was time in 2023 to move from the characters-only screen you see above to this:
